Candidates seeking official accreditation can undertake the AITT to validate their competencies and obtain a formal qualification or certification. This process typically involves assessment methods such as interviews, practical demonstrations, workplace observations, and portfolio evidence.

Understanding that this framework is often country or industry-specific, it is typically overseen by relevant educational and vocational training authorities. Individuals seeking to have their skills recognized through RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning) are advised to gather comprehensive evidence of their experience and competencies that correspond with the qualification’s required units of competency.
