Qualification Details for Appointment of Skill Teachers in CBSE School

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced skill education as a vocational subject in its curriculum to equip students with industry-specific skills. To implement this effectively, CBSE schools need to appoint skilled teachers who meet specific qualification criteria. In this article, we will outline the qualification details for the appointment of skill teachers in CBSE schools.

Qualification Criteria:

1. Academic Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree or higher in the relevant skill subject (e.g., fashion design, culinary arts, etc.) from a recognized university.
2. Technical Qualifications: A diploma or certificate in the relevant skill area from a recognized institution or industry partner.
3. Teaching Experience: At least 2 years of teaching experience in a CBSE-affiliated school or a recognized vocational training institute.
4. Industry Experience: Relevant industry experience in the skill area, preferably with a minimum of 2 years.

Additional Requirements:

1. CBSE Training: Completion of CBSE’s skill teacher training program or a similar program recognized by CBSE.
2. Certifications: Relevant certifications from industry partners or recognized institutions, such as Microsoft, Cisco, or Adobe.

AUTOMOTIVE	B.E./ B.Tech. in Automobile Engineering OR B. Voc. in Automobile OR B.E./ B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering having at list one specialized subject as Automobile Engineering OR Diploma in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering with 3 years’ teaching or industry experience in the Automotive Sector
